Kintrell was incredible. Everything was handled with the utmost care and professionalism. When you book this tour you are getting a GUIDED tour. A lot of the Whitney tours with other companies are self guided. We were lucky enough to have an amazing guide who was a descendent of one of the slaves. A guided tour is the way to go. I cannot recommend this company enough. If you are on the fence in between companies, this is the one to go with. He was extremely informative and kind, and was so very helpful with anything we needed!

Kendrell Faulk did an excellent drive on the drive out and the drive back into the city. He is very knowledgeable about the plantations along the river and supplemented the Whitney Plantation tour with additional background information. Highly recommended!

Kin was the best guide from our trip to New Orleans! He was extremely knowledgeable about the history of Louisiana and provided a plethora of information not only about the plantations located along the Mississippi, but also the city and its rich history . We were here on a couples vacation for the first time in NOLA, and we learned so much. Throughout the transportation to The Whitney Plantation, Kin brought out multiple photos of certain landmarks in the past as well as a real sugar cane! After we were done with the actual tour at the plantation, he provided a QR code with additional information about the plantation and the untold story of enslaved persons. He also provided a full list of food recommendations he sent via text. Overall, this was a phenomenal tour and we are so grateful to have booked with K’s Luxury Transportation Tours!

Great tour. Kindell was a great tour guide and gave a lot of the local experience of New Orleans. He’s also a keen alligator spotter!
Whitney plantation is filled with history. Almost more than one can take in on one trip.
Oak Alley sandwiches for lunch was a nice treat. Be sure to sample everything in the gift shop!

This tour was absolutely worth the money and time. Kindrell is an amazing tour guide. He’s knowledgeable about the area and the history, and so personable that you feel like you’re exploring with a friend. We loved that he picked us up from our hotel so not having a car was no problem. The vehicle was a comfortable ride. He had great suggestions about things to see and do, and restaurants and food to try. He told us that we can text him if we run into any issues or have any questions, and between him and his wife, they’d help figure it out.
If you’re going to do any tour of any plantation, do this one. The Whitney Plantation tour focused on the enslaved, how they built this country, and how so many people were made wealthy on the backs of this forced labor. You were able to see the layout of an indigo and sugarcane plantation, and get an idea of how the enslaved lived and what their daily lives would have looked like. Our Whitney tour guide was Susan, and you can tell how passionate she is about the history of the plantation and how much she loves to share that knowledge.

We really enjoyed the Laura Plantation Half-Day Tour from New Orleans! Our tour guide, Kindrell, was amazing—very knowledgeable, engaging, and thoughtful in how he shared the history. He made the experience both educational and meaningful, and you could tell he truly cares about the stories being told. Highly recommend this tour, and especially Kindrell, if you’re visiting the area!
